new trak from x-hyle:

x-hyle: used a few old drum machines to get rhythmic phrases. then sampd into ensoniq asr-10. lots of layering & pitching otherwise mundane samps. the body of the track was done in motu performer on powerpc!

i was inspired by a dream i once had of this massive, decrepit wooden structure ... kind of like the scaffolding of an old wooden rollercoaster, but much denser. lots of gangways for workers and such. an odd place.

vast: in the middle of my teens, i used to stay up all night, and in the early morning, while the streets were still empty, i would ride my bike across the city listening to my favorite songs as i went along. i was always yearning for some cleft in the skyline i could step into, one that would finally transport me into real life, into promises the present failed to keep.
